The folks I work with tend to be survivors who had to be innovative, and stubborn to survive and thrive. They want to step away from their survival mechanisms so they can be in ease and have joy as well as make meaning. Attempting to do that creates a battle within where they want to hold onto the safety mechanisms of a hard-won way of surviving but they also want to be vulnerable so they can have deeper relationships and experiences generally (that authentic stuff). This kind of vulnerability can make their body buck and rear up like a wild stallion approached by an abusive handler if they haven't done their work.
So, they feel stuck. Ultimately stuck by the very trauma they've tried so hard to get away from. And often the very trauma that has been passed down the generations.
I work with those people who don't want to lose their survival tools, but also don't want to live in that zone 100% of the time. I work with them in a way that honours their dynamic body and life so that one aspect doesn't create havoc in another (like healing a mindset that also addresses the body's fight/flight pattern). I call this the CORE process where we work towards clarity, optimism, resilience and upleveling energy.
Fundamentally a conflict between survival and desire for joy and meaning will create a lot of distress and that distress can result in chronic diseases taking root. It doesn't have to be that way, you can heal, you can have joy and not be a target, you can make meaning in this lifetime, so you don't die having only survived. If you want help with that from me you can do it in community or one to one.
The community option is more budget friendly and brings a ton of resources for personal use when needed.
